Eligibility Criteria for NSIC Registration
To qualify for NSIC registration under the Single Point Registration Scheme (SPRS), business enterprises must meet the following criteria:
- Micro Enterprises: Investment in plant and machinery should not exceed INR 25 lakhs (or INR 10 lakhs for the service sector).
OR
Small Enterprises: Investment in plant and machinery should not exceed INR 5 Crore (or INR 2 Crore for the service sector).
- MSME Certificate: Applicants must hold a valid MSME certificate.
- Business Experience: A minimum of one year of business operation is required.
Exemption: Micro and small enterprises that have not completed one year can still obtain a Provisional Registration Certificate under the SPRS, with a limit of INR 5 lakhs.
Validity of NSIC Registration
- The NSIC registration is valid for two years and requires renewal upon verification of the registered MSMEs’ Commercial and Technical Competence (CTC).
- Provisional NSIC Registration is valid for one year from the issuance date, subject to the payment of the registration fee and submission of necessary documents.

To register for NSIC, applicants must provide the following documents:
- Investment Proof: Document showing the investment in plant and machinery.
- MSME Certificate: Valid MSME registration certificate.
